Frozen Cherry Margarita

A rich and refreshing blended margarita made with fresh or frozen cherries, cherry simple syrup, and lime.

Rub a lime wedge along the edge of a glass and dip it into salt or sugar.
In a blender, combine tequila, triple sec, lime juice, cherries, cherry simple syrup and cherry liqueur (if using.)
Add a cup ice. Blend until smooth. Add more ice if needed for a thicker texture.
Pour into the prepared glass and garnish with a cherry or lime wheel.
Cherry simple syrup
- 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen cherries
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup granulated white sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- Combine cherries, sugar, water, lemon juice and almond extract in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
