Prepare the glass by drizzling chocolate syrup inside or around the rim. Chill the glass in the freezer while preparing the cocktail.
In a cocktail shaker, combine eggnog, vodka, coffee liqueur, and Irish cream. Add a handful of ice and shake well for 15-20 seconds until chilled.
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
Top with whipped cream, sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon.
- Both homemade and store-bought eggnog work well. Homemade gives you more control over sweetness and spice.
- If your eggnog already contains alcohol (like rum or brandy), reduce the vodka to keep the drink balanced.
- For a dairy-free version, use dairy-free eggnog and a dairy-free Irish cream alternative.
- To make a frozen mudslide, blend all the ingredients with a cup of ice instead of shaking.
- Chocolate shavings make a lovely alternative to nutmeg on top if you want to lean into the chocolate flavor.
