Almond Joy Cocktail
Transport your taste buds with this delicious Almond Joy Cocktail recipe. This is one of my favorite cocktails. It’s a sweet and delicious milky cocktail with a mix of chocolate, almond and coconut.
Inspired by the beloved Almond Joy candy bar, this easy cocktail recipe is a delightful balance of the flavors of almond, coconut, and chocolate.
This tasty cocktail combines amaretto liqueur, cream of coconut, and white crème de cacao with a creamy base. It’s the perfect choice for dessert cocktails or for anyone who loves the combination of chocolate and coconut flavors.
Ingredients
Here’s a rundown of what you will need for this delicious cocktail.
- Amaretto Liqueur: Almond-flavored liqueur that provides the distinctive almond taste.
- Cream of Coconut: Adds a sweet, tropical coconut flavor.
- White Crème de Cacao: Creme de cacao is a chocolate liqueur that adds a hint of chocolate to the drink.
- Milk, or Half-and-Half: Depending on your preference for creaminess and calories. You can use a low-fat milk too.
- Flaked almonds and chocolate shavings for serving
Equipment
I like to serve this in a short old-fashioned glass, though it’s pretty in a martini glasses as well.
Method
- In a cocktail shaker, pour amaretto liqueur, cream of coconut, white crème de cacao, and milk.
- Add ice to the shaker until it is about halfway full. Secure the lid and cover shaker, then shake vigorously for about 30 seconds or until well-chilled.
- Fill an old-fashioned glass with ice.
- Strain the mixture into the prepared glass. Top with chocolate shavings and flaked almonds. Or drizzle a bit of chocolate syrup on top of the drink for an extra chocolatey touch.
Variations
- Dairy-Free Option: Use coconut milk or a light cream alternative to make this cocktail dairy-free.
